Community Connections Innovation Palo Alto 101

Palo Alto Forward launches today- a new voice for development in Palo Alto

Palo Alto Pulse is interested in shining a light on people who share a positive, engaged view of our great small city. So we are excited to share the launch of Palo Alto Forward, an effort to shift the conversation about development in Palo Alto towards a vision of inclusion, sustainability and innovation. Here’s a glimpse of what Palo Alto Forward is all about:

We are a group of residents interested in crafting a vision for the future of Palo Alto that expands choice, opportunity and quality of life. We believe in approaching challenges like traffic and parking with a “can-do” attitude and believe there are positive outcomes and opportunities when we plan for future growth holistically and in strategic locations.

palo-altoWe are a coalition: young, energetic, and optimistic that creative thinking can solve challenges others find impossible; older, experienced, and keen to pass on a legacy of innovation, opportunity, great schools and amenities to future generations. We live in South Palo Alto, North Palo Alto, and the midtown neighborhoods. We own and rent. We have young children and children who have left the nest. We walk and bike and drive but we all wish we had better options.

Palo Alto Forward is having a meet and greet gathering on Monday, September 8th at 7pm at Scotty’s Bar on Emerson Street in Palo Alto. This a great opportunity to learn more about this exciting effort. And if you can’t make it on Monday, stay connected by visiting Palo Alto Forward to learn more.
