Comment Policy

Palo Alto Pulse welcomes and encourages comments, but we review all reader comments prior to publication.

Our aim with Palo Alto Pulse is to create community engagement about the issues, people and events in Palo Alto, so it is our explicit hope and goal that readers will exchange informed ideas that add to the subject being discussed.

However, Palo Alto Pulse will not publish any comments containing commercial promotions, personal attacks, libel or obscene language, profanity, off topic asides or spam. We also may choose to not publish comments that are overly specific and hence not relevant to a community conversation.

Criticisms and accolades for our work will also be published if they meet the above guidelines.

Readers are strongly encouraged to register with their real name when leaving a comment.

Comments are not edited during the reviewing process. Comments are either published or not published.

Ultimately, the decision to publish or not publish comment rests with the editors of Palo Alto Pulse. We aim to abide by the comment policy outlined above to the best of our abilities.
