Teens Exploring Code (TEC) Event at Mitchell Park August 2nd

Teens Exploring Code (TEC) is a free event sponsored by the City of Palo Alto that exposes teens (ages 13-19) to different careers in the technology sector and introduces them to basic computer programming syntax. TEC will be held on Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 1-5 pm at the Mitchell Park Community Center in Palo Alto, CA. The event features six guest speakers from a broad array of backgrounds all based in computer science, as well as three coding workshops led by accomplished computer science majors from prestigious universities. The guest speaker sessions and coding workshops will be in separate rooms, going on simultaneously. You may come as your schedule permits and attend as many speaker sessions as you wish. However, we are restricting the workshops to one per person, in order to ensure that more teens have a chance to attend one if they wish.TECeventflyer
